Cabernet Franc
Eclipse, Heron Hill, 2000 Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
This wine has a beautiful nose. Nose - what does that mean you ask? Well, it just means that it smells good. And how do you know it smell good? Well, that's pretty simple. When you start to put your nose down to the glass, you find yourself continuing to move closer to the glass. It's almost an uncontrollable reaction. And this wine had that going for it. I couldn't get my nose out of the glass. Then it's time for the taste. Does it match the smell? Well, yes it did. I had it at dinner will Colorado Lamb Chops. What a match. This wine had long taste. I bite of the lamb demanded a wash of wine. It was a glorious cycle. And every time you drank you just couldn't wait to start that cycle again. Now there's the bottle. It's very cool. It's hard to tell if the stars are a label or are part of the actual glass of the bottle. Good taste and a conversation piece too. You can't beat that.
