Hunt Country Vineyard, Seyval Blanc 2001, Morse
Well, to be fair, I have to say that I'm not a fruity wine lover so this wine review had something against it right from the start. But this is the 2nd most disappointing wine I've ever tasted (and you can read about the 1st over in the Reds section). You open the bottle and there was no smell. None. Nada. It was bizarre. I was actually passing the bottle around the table asking others to smell. For a second there, I was afraid I had lost my sense of smell. Then you take a taste. You immediately taste the difference between this wine and dry wines, basically it's fruity. But then poof, it disappeared. My mouth was yearning for some kind of taste, but I couldn't find any. It was as if I had breathed in some fruity air. Once breathed, it was gone. I have no idea what they did to get the wine out of this bottle, but they had to work hard. Wait, I think I know. The previous night there must have been a magician performing at the restaurant where we purchased this wine and he left one his props behind. So this wasn't a wine, it was a magic trick. This wine is horrible. Don't even think of drinking it. And certainly don't ever think of buying it!
