Dr Frank Konstantin Cabernet Sauvignon 2001

This wine was eaten beside a nice big prime rib. As this was the first meal after we started our week long bike ride, I figured the protein of the meat would be good for me. With a big slab of beef like that, I needed a wine that could stand up to the meat and had some backbone. I was very impressed with Dr. Frank's Cab Sauvignon. It had a great smell. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The taste was very full as well. It gave me a nice warm feeling inside after I drank it. It did have a touch of an acidic after taste. Nothing drastic, but it was there. I would drink this wine again and I'd drink it with meat.
