2002 Yellowtail Merlot

I didn't review this bottle after the party, but sometime later when I was having it with a steak shish kabob dinner. The bouquet is outstanding. When you put your face over a large red glass the smell is amazing. The start of the wine gets your taste buds really excited. But the finish makes you pucker up a bit. It almost tastes a bit sour at the finish, like a not so strong sour ball. I'd pass on this Merlot for any party. With mostly socializing and little eating happening for your social event, the last thing you want people doing is puckering up between sips.
