2002 Barossa Shiraz - Terra Barossa, by Thorn Clarke

Shiraz, from the same grape family as the Syrah. Sometimes I find this wine family has a little bit too much bite for me. It's so strong at the initial taste that it ruins the rest of the glass. But not this wine. It's better than the rest of it's Shiraz family, in my humble opinion. As my brother-in-law said upon his surprise at also not finding the taste with a bite \Wow this is really very SSSMMMMOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTHHHHHHH for a Shiraz\". We drank this bottle before and with a ham dinner. Delicious. I couldn't have been more surprised and more pleased with the taste of this wine. And for only $10.99 locally it's a steal. When you pair it with food it's the perfect wine for a meal that's a cross between the heavy red meat typical red wine meal and the more spicy dishes. Enjoy! I will definitely look for this wine again."
