1998 Chateau Leoville Poyferre, Saint-Julien Bordeaux

I am always in charge of wines and I found this one to be the perfect wine to serve with our Christmas day standing rib roast. It is a stellar bottle of wine, with lots of cherry and black currant flavors. It is a big, round, chewy wine with mild tannins. Wine Spectator voted this the 70the best wine of the year in 2001 - for good reason, it is delicious!
