This Chardonnay is a great value... - 2006 Columbia Crest Grand Estates Chardonnay

With the bright fresh smell of melon and sweet fig, and the taste of rich creamy apple, pear and pineapple, this Chardonnay is a great value, and is usually one of the best values on the market, year in and year out.

This version of the Columbia Crest Grand Estates has deep flavor, and a nice butterscotch wisp to finish off the taste. Creamy and delicious.

It went well with our home made tacos, stuffed with ground turkey that was sauteed in a spicy blend of chile powder, cumin, cayenne and garlic, then topped with the usual lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and blended cheeses. The added dash or two of hot sauce was balanced nicely by the bright tropical flavors of this Chardonnay, and the black bean, white corn and cilantro salad that my wife made rounded out this simple but flavor packed meal.
