1998 Enzo Boglietti, Brunate Barolo

Wow. This is one of the \new style\" Italian wines that are made to be drunk within a few years after bottling versus the old methods where Barolo's really needed 10-20 years for the tannins to mellow - this is the big debate amongst Italian wine produced! Anyway it is an incredible wine. It was deep deep ruby in color with a very earthy aroma. It was very approachable with fairly mellow tannins and had cherry and black cherry flavors. It is my style wine big fairly bold and chewy."
