1999 Shafer, Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay

Deep straw colored wine that offers the typical buttery oakyness that most Californian Chards have. Once it opened up, the oak began to dissipate and the fruit began to shine. The wine has a long nice finish and works really well with food. We served it with Shrimp and Spinach Risotto and it was lovely.
