Rutherford Hill Merlot, 2000

Interesting tasting experience. Had tasted this wine once before, and thought it was quite fine: velvety and soft, and easy to drink. This second time, however, the first glass was too soft, almost empty, and flat. It was as if the wine just flew past my taste buds without leaving any footprints! After some time, however, some structure began to appear, and the fruit began to speak up. This wine merits more investigation.
