2001 Cambria Katherine's Chardonnay

Drank it first with pan cooked salmon, just fish, no sauce.  The chardonnay was too overpowering.  Then had it with a chicken dish.  Cream of mushroom based sauce and included stuffing.  The wine was still too overpowering.  It had a very strong and nice oak taste, but it was just a bit too strong.  I don't know how else to say it but it was strong enough that my teeth felt cleaner when I was done drinking it.  Anyway, if you like strong, oak flavored Chardonnay, this is the drink for you.  If you prefer a chardonnay that blends with your meal but doesn't overpower it, then you better pair it with a mighty strong tasting and flavorful dish.
